Digital direct booking for the delivery of goods, using the example of Rossmann - secure supply of high-quality class A Euro pallets in triple AAA pooling

Digital direct booking at Rossmann, for example

No swaps. No bills. No problems. The digital information on the used pallets (via an interface from the delivery slip or similar) is transmitted to inter.PAL in connection with the acceptance of goods. Both a 1:1 pallet swap and the issuing of a pallet credit are completely eliminated.

The recipient is debited for the pallets delivered by direct posting to the inter.PAL online account; the supplier is credited accordingly. If required, empty europallets (here: class A) can be ordered immediately for the delivering producer. inter.PAL takes care of reliable delivery of the desired load.

Flexibility in the European swap pool for europallets means secure delivery

The high-volume production of fast-moving consumer goods is usually a highly automated process, which is strongly dependent on the availability of the required production resources. This applies in in particular for europallets – the standard load carrier for almost all goods of daily use.

Especially in the years since the beginning of the corona pandemic , there was often a shortage of raw materials and the goods produced from them were expensive. inter.PAL Pooling customers benefit from the strongest European network and thus represent the demand for Euro pallets for production in the consumer goods industry. The open swap pool has clear advantages over closed pooling systems, due to its high flexibility of supply chains, proven.

The coronavirus pandemic and the war in Ukraine led to severe shortages of load carriers for a consumer goods manufacturer, which it had previously obtained from a closed ownership pool.

The fact that no alternative sources of supply for europallets could be used with this model led to a high level of additional control effort and production disruptions.

This led to additional costs in the five-digit range in 2022.
By switching to inter.PAL, the producer can now obtain the highest quality europallets they need at any time thanks to the flexible network in the open European swap pool – and at a cost that is almost 30% lower than that of the ownership pool.
